Cross Country Hardware has been supplying course builders with the fasteners since 2004. The company provides an unprecedented convenience to builders and events by delivering fasteners to any address across the country at a fair price. It is also able to provide quantities of fasteners that local stores cannot. Cross Country Hardware, with its three builders, also provides cross country jump construction and event prep. The trio of builders has built jumps from coast to coast. Their varying strengths and backgrounds has enabled them to produce finely crafted cross country jumps.
Owner of Cross Country Hardware, Travers Schick, has been building jumps for the past nine years. His career started helping, Tremaine Cooper at, Millbrook Horse Trials. From there Travers continued working for Tremaine for six years at many events on the eastern sea board; Morven Park, Poplar Place, GMHA, Puhinui Three Day(NZ), and Millbrook Horse Trials. Travers has also been involved with, Jersey Fresh, Rocking Horse and many schooling facilities around the country. Travers’ work can be found at events and schooling areas across the country.
Joe Stylos has been involved with Cross Country Hardware for four years. His leap into course building was at Aspen Farms(wa) in June of 2008. He has proved his determination, most noticeably, in hiking the Appalacian Trail, and biking across the country. Joe has proved himself an incredible chainsaw carver and craftsman. When Joe is not building jumps, he trades in the chainsaw for his backpack and camera. His keen eye and dedication to perfection can be found in both his jump construction and his photography. Josh Sylce has been involved with eventing since he met his wife, Stephanie Goodman in 1998. He has done everything from commercial fishing in Alaska and on the, Great Salt Lake to fine carpentry in Middleburg, Va. Josh and Steph left Middleburg for the mountains of Idaho where Josh continues his career of finish carpentry. He got involved building jumps at Aspen Farms in 2007 and has been helping Cross Country Hardware since 2008. Josh’s background in carpentry and fine wood crafting greatly contribute to Cross Country Hardware’s finely constructed cross country jumps.
